PTCL has officially acquired Telenor Pakistan, with the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) approving the deal on October 1, 2025, under strict conditions to maintain competition. The acquisition, initially announced in December 2023 for PKR 108 billion, consolidates Ufone and Telenor, significantly shifting Pakistan’s telecom market to three main operators and creating a powerful competitor alongside Jazz.
